What does it cost to get started?
We do not require any type of down payment. Financially, all that is needed to get started is the first month’s License fee, purchase of an approved whole body vibration machine (Wholesale at $2,395.00 through ADRs) and the body composition analyzer scale ($2,095.00, with a Tanita brand only a $200.00 ADR product credit) Used or existing equipment is acceptable as long as it meets the minimum criteria for the office scale that measures Body Mass Index (BMI) with a print out and an approved Whole Body Vibration Machine..

How exclusive it the territory and how large is it?
Exclusive Territory pricing varies depending upon how large or small a territory you choose. Territories are priced based on zip code, population and median household income. Typically, even in a larger upscale metropolitan area, one or two patients pay the license fee.

How long am I locked into the program?
There is no long-term requirement or commitment. Our program operates on a month-to-month basis. Once you start using the program you may add additional territories. However, you can quit the program at any time with a 30-day written notice.

How large are the territories?
The size of an exclusive territory is based on Zip codes; a Licensee may purchase as many zip codes as they wish. Some Licensees have purchase an entire county. However, you can quit the program at any time with a 30-day written notice.

How long does it take to get a return on my investment?
Since there is NO initial down payment, Licensees usually recoup their investment the first month. Some of our Licensees have already made thousands in profit their first twelve months. In addition to its own profitability, it will provide additional patients to “cross-sell” all your other services. Their successful weight loss generates referrals (often family members) and generates revenue for other services. You may also sell our K-1 Whole Body Vibration Machine and receive a 20% rebate. (We handle the payment and shipping).

How much of the doctor’s time will the program take and what type of staff is needed?
The amount of the Doctors time with each patient is about 30 min. The patient medical history and exam takes about 15 -20 minutes. Occasionally there will be questions that may come up that the Doctor will need to answer. You will need a diet counselor (many practices use a nurse or a lay person) to explain the Dr. Ted Diet™ program to the patient, handle their weekly visits for weigh-in to determine BMI, use of the Whole Body Vibration Machine, B12/B6 injections and motivation. Medical staff members are needed for medical issues, such as any prescriptions or injections.

What if I have an existing diet?
It is possible to offer the Dr. TED Diet™ along with any existing diet program that you provide to your patients, as our program can serve as an additional service offering to your patients. Some of our Licensees provide their own diet in addition to ours and others use our program as a standalone diet.

What are the advertising requirements?
We provide Advertising and Marketing material to support your success. We offer TV, Internet, videos, audiotapes, multimedia print, promotional Tri Folds, posters, banners, and Interview TV spots for your website. There are TV & Radio commercials that you can modify to your own needs. We do not dictate a required amount of dollars for Licensee to spend on advertising. Licensees are expected to advertise in their markets.

How is your Licensing program different from Franchising?
One important difference is that you don’t need to pay out $150,000, $500,000 or more to purchase the license or franchise that most franchises and licensing programs require. There is little investment and great rewards. You can quit anytime you like. We don’t control or run your practice. Our program is intended to be an efficient, easy to manage addition to your practice or med spa. Most importantly it is a profitable return on your investment.

What do I need in as far as office improvements?
We do not have any requirements for improvements or changes to your office as a franchise would. This program is meant to be easily implemented and a complement to your existing products and services. You do need to have some available space to see diet patients and for placement of the Whole Body Vibration Machine and the BMI scale.

How much profit can I expect per patient and what is the cost to the patient?
Profits depend on how much you charge and the time spent by your staff in administering the diet. Typically profits for most existing licensees average $600 - $1,000/patient, depending on length of program they participate in. The patient pays a one-time fee which includes their Patient Information Folder, Lab tests, Transdermal creams, B12/B6 injections, and an EKG (if directed by the physician).

Is there a cost for the training?
All initial training is included at no charge to the Licensee. Licensees have the option of training at our Scottsdale, AZ corporate headquarters, or training via webinar which includes training DVDs that are sent to them.
